Threats from the Past

Portrayed by

Shiri Appleby

Prunella "Prue" Thompson was a very powerful witch from the Warren line. She possesses the powers of Telekinesis, Invisibility, High Resistance, Spell Casting, Potion Making, Scrying, and Mediumship. Prue is said to be one of the strongest witches in the Warren line except after her death, Penelope Halliwell is said to be second of the strongest witches in the Halliwell line. She died on January 4, 1935, but because of the altering timeline, she died in 1972 because Phoebe and Paige saved her and her unborn child from Russell's curse.

Bio

Early Life

Prunella Thompson was born in 1896 to witches Alice Bowen and Gordon Russell. Through her biological father, she did not inherit his power, Pyrokinesis, or her mother's power Empathy instead possessed Telekinesis which belonged to her descendant Melinda Warren.

Prunella was a good witch. Her mother Alice died when Prunella was three years old and she was left in the care of her father Edward Thompson. In her teen years, Edward told her that he was not her biological father but Prunella did not care and she loved him as his "real father". After her father's death, she moved to San Fransisco to find her cousins who lived there and moved to their mansion. She married Jonathan Baker and he moved into the manor also. Soon she discovers she is pregnant with her first child and she gives birth to a daughter named Pauline Baker.

Working at the Nanny

Prunella loved children, after sitting at home with her first child, she got a job as a nanny and she loved it. Soon she discovered she was pregnant with a second child and she had to stay home to take good care of herself and her baby.

Fall in love with a demon

She meets a man with whom she falls in love but soon she discovers that he is a demon and she has no choice but to banish him eternally.

Marriage with Jonathan Baker

In 1927, she met a mortal man named Jonathan whom she fell in love, and after two months of dating, they decided to get married, and soon Prunella was left waiting for the child.

Death of her and her unborn son

On January 4, 1935, Prunella was ready to give birth to a son in the Manor when she discovered she was cursed by her own sister who hated her so much also her unborn child was cursed as well but nothing could be done there because the curse can only be removed by the person who put it on. Baxter and Bowen did whatever they could to save Prunella from the curse, but nothing worked. The time of Prunella's death was approaching, and there was nothing they could do but say goodbye. Prunella died in the same years as her unborn son inside her, meaning she met Baxter's firstborn daughter, Penelope Johnson but she did not meet Baxter's non-magical son, Gordon Johnson II.

Threats from the Past

Between 2007-2008, Peyton got flashbacks of her past self trying to warn about something. So Peyton casts the "Past Life Spell" to see what her past life trying to say to her. It turns out her past self was pregnant also and cursed by her own sister which came out later but it also affects her and her unborn daughter. The only way to stop it is to summon the witch who made this and it's Russell. They summon Russell and Russell does not want to tell but Cole forces her Russell tells them that the only way to stop the curse is to go back in time and break the curse while Piper and Cole have to stay present to look after pregnant Peyton. Phoebe and Paige decide to transport themself to the past 1935 when the sisters recognized Prue and Piper's past selves but they thought they were warlocks however Phoebe explained that they have no time to explain and they needed their help to stop the curse or their sister and her unborn daughter gonna die.

Later life

When Phoebe and Paige travel back in time they change Prunella and her unborn child's future so that she does not die in childbirth. Prunella and her husband John lived many years together and have a good future with their two kids. Prunella even meets Baxter's adoptive son, Gordon Johnson II and she becomes godmother to Baxter's two children. She becomes the most powerful upper-level witch because her telekinesis power is upgraded to deviate several types of attacks; fire- and energy balls, energy beams. She also taught her cousin's daughter, Penelope how to control telekinesis which she gained from Melinda Warren.

Prunella passed away in 1972, meaning she met her grandchildren and she may have met her great-grandchildren. She meets Baxter's first granddaughter, Patty Halliwell in 1950 and also Patty's first-born daughter, Prudence Halliwell who possessed also Telekinesis like her. She was reborn, not long after, as Prue's younger maternal half-sister, Peyton Campbell.
