Melinda Warren was a powerful upper-level witch, the only child of two mortals Lawrence Cutler and Charlotte Warren, the wife of a mortal man named William Jackson, and had with him two children Prudence and Beauford Warren, the ex-lover of a warlock named Matthew Tate whom she had an unnamed child...

Before arrival the Charmed Ones

It was destined for three sisters; Beatrice, Brianna, and Grace Warren become the Charmed Ones however this appears to conflict with Melinda's prophecy before her death, of the Warren line growing in power to produce three sisters (the Charmed Ones), and the lore of the Charmed universe, in which it's established that there were not three sisters in the Warren line before Prue, Piper, and Phoebe, them being the prophecied Charmed.
