The Destruction of the Sisterhood, also known as The Day of the Fall, The Destruction Cycle, or just The Cycle, is a succession of tragic events regarding the untimely death of one of the Charmed Ones and the termination of their sisterly bond.
Death of Prue Halliwell in the Original timeline
On May 17, 2001, the eldest sister of Piper and Phoebe Halliwell, Charmed One Prue Halliwell, was killed by the Source of All Evil's personal assassin, the demon Shax. Her death led to the discovery of a long-lost half-sister, Paige Matthews - a Charmed sister.
Alternate Timelines
Death of Peyton Campbell in the Dark Future 2030
Phoebe, the third Charmed One, wanted to restore the stolen power of all magic, to put magic in the Underworld. Piper, Paige, and Peyton, three of the Charmed Ones, disagreed, knowing it would raise the Source of All Evil again. So three sisters put magic hidden in a safe place just in case. However, the argument tore the Charmed Ones apart, with Phoebe growing power-hungry and wanting to take on the power. Peyton, her youngest half-sister wanted to stop this madness and force her to give up but Phoebe disagreed she was rage not thinking clearly anymore that she killed her own sister by the power only, with Phoebe growing power-hungry and wanting to take on the power, which resulted in Piper and Paige forced to escape and hide from her rest of the life but it cost of betraying their sisterhood also, Peyton becomes a The Guardian of All Magic after her death while Piper and Paige are forced to hide from Phoebe who was turned into The Queen of All Evil.
Death of Piper Halliwell in the Alternate Timeline
After Piper and Prue are exposed as witches, Alice Hicks manages to barge into the manor, though Prue violently flung her back out. Out of spite, Alice got her hands on a high-powered rifle. She climbed up on a van and fired into the manor, shooting Piper in the midsection. Darryl Morris and the other cops surrounding the manor immediately took her down. Prue then rushed Piper to the hospital, using magic to clear a path. However, the wound proved fatal, and Piper died during surgery. When Phoebe learned of Piper's death, she agreed to stay in the Underworld as part of the bargain with the Source of All Evil to reverse time.
Death of Phoebe Halliwell in the Alternate Future 2009
Phoebe was executed for killing a baseball player named Cal Greene and murdering her dear friend, Elise Rothman, who was her boss at The Bay Mirror. A technicality set him free, and in revenge, a furious and outraged Phoebe killed Cal. According to Leo, that's when she crossed the line from protecting the innocent to punishing the guilty. However, unknown to her, this was presumably caught on tape, and Phoebe was exposed as a witch by a man called Nathaniel Pratt, the local DA. This is what started the 2009 Witch Trials with Pratt at the helm. Prue and Piper were both safe. Pratt had checked them out but didn't suspect anything. Still, they were both in danger as they had to be very careful with their powers, as well as Piper's daughter, Melinda.
