Pamela Halliwell was the daughter of Penny Halliwell, younger sister of Patty Halliwell, and aunty of Prue, Piper, Phoebe, and Paige. Pamela is mischievous, beautiful, carefree, and wryly humorous, Pamela, takes pride in her witch heritage, which often puts her in troublesome predicaments. Pamela returned to San Fransisco in late 2008, and Prue, Piper, and Phoebe were surprised to see their aunt, having not seen her since the death of Grams. Pamela eventually came out to reveal she knew about their charmed destiny and wanted to mend fences with them, especially Phoebe. She vowed to teach them about the craft and wants to be a part of their life again. Pamela would become a prominent recurring figure throughout the series, aiding and teaching her nieces about witchcraft and spells. She previously owned an Antique Shop in San Diego but moved locations to San Fransisco to be close to her nieces. She is the closest to Phoebe among her nieces, as she can relate to her the most.

Biography

Early Life

Growing up, Pamela was always regarded as the troublesome one, and Patty was always the wise one. Although both she and her sister Patty had a 7-year age difference between them, they both were fairly close. Her relationship with her mother, Penny was conflicted, as she proved to be quite a lot to handle at times. Pamela was only 18 when Patty gave birth to her first niece Prue Halliwell in 1970. Pamela took the death of her sister Patty very hard and eventually left her family for many years. Penny did not take this very well and chose not to speak of her much to her granddaughters.

Pam’s teenage years

Pam, it was difficult to accept her father's death and life from his family away. Later presumably during her teenage years, Pam began to drink alcohol after her father's death. He stayed a couple of times to skip to the police when she drunkenly drove the car around the streets, she was only 15 years old at that period.

Gaining New Power (Empathy) during the teen years

Pam was 18 when she gained the power of Empathy in the school and she was shocked. She runs home and tells her aunt, Janice, that she has power and Janice tells her she is a witch while Pam is shocked.

Meeting a demon, Litvack

In 1968, Pam meets a young handsome man, Litvack who turns out to be a demon later. Pam did not know that he was a demon and decided to run away with him. At night, Pam climbed out of a window and escaped with Litvack they decided to stay in a hotel for the night it was her first night with a man who was a demon in fact, and the first to make love with him.

Destroying a Litvack

In 1970, Pam was too innocent and naive when she was eighteen years old and she was just a teenager but Litvack used her to get close to her family and her when Pam discovers that he is a demon and she using him. She tried to get away from him but Litvack got her arms then Pam created a metal ball and killed him.

Faking her and her unborn child's death

After destroying Litvack for good, she discovers she is pregnant and she knows who is a father and decides to fake her and her unborn child dies. She moved away from LA to start a new life with her daughter.

Giving birth to her daughter, Cassandra

After leaving for good in San Francisco. She had a hard time looking for a job herself but a good man appears to him and gives her a hand. It was Rick and she touched her hand to give them a vision of this man and her wedding but Pamela had to give birth now and a man took him to a hospital. Later Pam gives a healthy baby girl and gives her a name, Cassandra.

Powers and Abilities

Active Powers:

• Empathy (second power) - The ability to sense, feel, and understand the emotions of others.

• Clairaudience - Some Empaths have displayed the ability to not only feel emotions but also "hear" the heightened thoughts associated with those specific emotions. This is probably because both cortices (emotional and mental) are so closely related to one another. An example would be if an empath senses two spouses aiming a lot of hatred toward one another.
• Power Replication: the ability to temporarily replicate the powers of others and use them at will. 

Former Powers:

• Pyrokinesis (first power; stripped from her mother for her own safety) - The ability to create and manipulate fire at will. It can be channeled through the mind or hands. Once Pam used this power to light candles and cast a ritual.

• Fire Throwing: the powerful and deadly ability to project jets of flame from the hands, capable of completely immolating even high-level demons.

Basic Powers:

• Spell Casting - the magical ability to cast spells and perform rituals. It is one of the basic powers possessed by witches and warlocks, the others being Scrying, Potion Making, and Mediumship.

• Thermokinesis (via spell) - The power to control and manipulate temperature.
• Atmokinesis (also known as Weather Control) - is the ability to manipulate every aspect of weather.
• Freezing Spell mimics the effects of Molecular Immobilization and was created by her mother. She wrote it down in her spellbook. It is noteworthy that this spell can work on good witches. Pam uses that spell on Litvack when he tries to hurt her and her unborn child.
• Truth Spell - Makes someone speak the truth. Pam cast this spell on her ex Litvack to tell her the truth about himself.
• Aerokinesis - the power to create wind can either be violent or gentle.
• Healing - the power to regenerate broken cells quickly.
• Metal Ball Projection - the power to create a ball of metal. Pam uses this power to Litvack and kills him.
• Potion Making - the skill to brew potions and elixirs with magical properties.

• Scrying - a magical ability to find a person or an object through the use of a crystal and a map. 

• Mediumship - the ability to perceive and communicate with spirits.

Trivia

• Pamela did not inherit any of Melinda Warren's three powers, as her sister and mother both did.
• Pamela's daughter Cassandra was the first witch in the series to inherit one power of Melinda Warren's three powers only.
• Pamela has the closest relationship with Phoebe among her sister Patty's children, due to both of them being troublemakers growing up.
• There is a 7-year age difference between her and her sister Patty.
• Originally Pamela was going to be a half-sister of Patty's, and only share a mother through Penny. Those plans were scrapped, instead, they are true sisters and have the same parents.
• Pamela not inheriting Melinda Warren's powers, was previously said by Penny (Grams) knowing her daughters wouldn't become the charmed ones. When Penny was pregnant with Pamela, she believed that her children would be the charmed ones, assuming of course she would go on to have a third child, which she did not.
