Background

The lives of Halliwell sisters  Prue, Piper, and Phoebe really began after the death of their maternal grandmother, Penelope Halliwell. After thinking about it, the three girls decide to move back into their family Manor in San Francisco. While snooping around, the youngest sister, Phoebe, discovered an old book the Book of Shadows in the attic. Reading an incantation from it, she unwittingly set in motion events that fulfilled an ancient prophecy. Strange and harrowing occurrences began which eventually led the sisters to realize that they were the most powerful witches on earth.

The first three seasons focus on Prue, Piper, and Phoebe Halliwell. However, with Prue's death after the Season 3 finale, Piper and Phoebe think their days of being Charmed Ones are done until they discover their secret maternal half-sister Paige Matthews.

In 2007 after battling with Billie and Christy Jenkins, bringing the arrival of another shock to the Halliwell Family again, Piper, Phoebe, and Paige discover they have another secret maternal half-sister Peyton Campbell from their maternal side.

She has one power, Empathy, which she used to sense, feel and understand the emotions of others.

Bio

Alice Bowen was born The Warren Line, the last child and third daughter of a mortal man named James Bowen and a witch named Iris J. Sauls. She has two oldest sisters Melinda and Agnes Bowen, and one adopted the oldest brother named Gregory Bowen.

Alice possessed the power of Empathy, which allowed her to sense, feel and understand the emotions of others.

Meeting Gordon Russell

At some point in her life, Alice met a man (Gordon Russell) with whom she fell in love. However, she eventually broke up with him because she discovered he was her sister's (Agnes) husband and she decided to leave town without saying goodbye to everyone.

Moving to London and Pregnancy

She moved to London and tried her luck there. She got a job teaching but days later she discover she was pregnant with Gordon's child and decided to keep the child and raise it alone without her family's help or a husband at her side.

Victor Bennet (b. February 16, 1949) was a mortal businessman. He married Patty Halliwell and fathered Prue, Piper, and Phoebe Halliwell, divorcing her and leaving the family due to disagreements regarding their upbringing, moving to New York.

In late 1998, Victor returned to San Francisco, planning to take the Halliwell Book of Shadows from his daughters and undo their powers, giving them everyday lives, though he later changed his mind after seeing that they could take care of themselves. He attended Prue's funeral in 2001 and soon met the result of his ex-wife's affair with Sam Wilder, Paige Matthews, with whom he shared a civil relationship at least.
